Why csrHQ was formed..
More and more corporations around the world are understanding the need to be transparent about their CSR activities. And those that have not taken CSR seriously before are understanding that regulatory, generational, and cultural changes require that adapt their business plans to include respect for the people and communities they impact and the environment.
To achieve these goals, there will be a growing need for professional help in developing a cross-company CSR program and communication of this plan internally and externally. This will involve the measurement of current activity, creation and communication of an action plan, and annual publication of a CSR report.
In addition, the market for carbon offsets will continue to grow and become more official as government programs set caps on CO2 output and require credits be purchased for excessive output. This will require more precise measurement of a companies carbon footprint and the provision of acceptable offset solutions.
Lastly, there is a growing demand for both corporate and personal travel options that involve either a volunteer impact on the local community visited or the expectation that the trip is minimally invasive to the environment. The development of such tours and vacations will support the CSR consultancy and can additionally provide a revenue stream to support growth of the organization.
